GearUp is a program provided by a partnership with Yancey County Schools and Appalachian State University. This program provides resources and information to students and families about opportunities after high school graduation.

Parents of middle school students we are asking for your help with filling out a family survey on paper or online. The paper survey will be sent home with your student or you can complete the online survey with the family link.

Yearbooks are being sold on a PRE-ORDER basis this year. These can be purchased at school or online.

The cost is $45 (in-school), or you may order online (starting at $45).

-February 19 is the last day to purchase a copy or put down a deposit.

CRMS School Reopening - Plan B

Beginning the week of October 5, CRMS will reopen on plan B. Each Monday, all students will learn remotely from home, and be required to log on with their homeroom or first period teacher at 9am. For the remainder of the week, students that have chosen to be seated in school two days per week will come on the following days. Students with the last names beginning with the letters A-K will come to school on Tuesday and Wednesday, while students with last names beginning with the letters M - Z will come to school on Thursday and Friday. On days that students are not seated at school, they will learn remotely from home and log on throughout the day with their teachers.

Students that are dropped off may be dropped off as early as 7:25, but must be at school by 7:45. Pickups will be called out at 3:00 in the back of the building and buses will load at 3:15.

Students must come to school each day wearing a mask and bring the following items:

  • Charged chromebook and charging cord

  • Headphones

  • Coat or jacket for outside mask breaks

  • Water Bottle with tightly fitting lid
